Utes’ 79-57 loss to Coastal Carolina is their biggest margin of defeat in nearly a year

Through three basketball games this season, Utah hardly ever trailed. In their fourth game, the Utah barely led at all.

Coastal Carolina took command early in the second half of a 79-57 home-court victory Thursday night in the first round of the Myrtle Beach Invitational in Conway, S.C. The margin made it Utah's biggest loss since a 27-point defeat at Kentucky last December.

The Utes (3-1) will meet Ohio, a 76-53 loser to No. 24 Baylor, in the consolation bracket Friday at 5:30 p.m. MST. Utah's potential opponents in Sunday's final round are Middle Tennessee and Tulane.
