Utah led 56-55 with less than eight minutes remaining in the game. USC went on a run to take a five-point lead, but then the 3-pointers started flying — and dropping — for the Utes.
Sophomore Dru Gylten buried one and assisted on two straight by Daneesa Provo for a 65-63 Utah lead with 2:23 left. Two free throws by Provo capped an 8-0 run.
Utah opened its biggest lead of the second half with a corner 3-pointer by sophomore Niyah Becker for a 25-18 lead.
