“Gavin is a star in this profession and he plays such a significant role in our program,” Roberts said in a news release. “He is smart, hardworking, and a true professional. Stability among my staff is key and Gavin has been a cornerstone of stability for me and this program. He is incredibly good at what he does and he sees the value in being here at Utah. He believes in what we are doing and the vision we have laid out. He has certainly earned this.”
Petersen is entering his fourth season with the Utes with 16 total years of Division I coaching experience.
