The Pole Creek Fire was measured at 74,509 acres on Tuesday morning. The nearby Bald Mountain Fire is 15,635 acres.
A tweet from the National Weather Service warned that a cold front is bringing breezy and dry weather for Tuesday and Wednesday. That will create hazardous firefighting conditions, the Weather Service said.
