Neemias Queta, the star center for the Utah State Aggies men’s basketball team with NBA potential, injured his knee during a FIBA Under-20 European Championship game over the weekend in Portugal.
A video of the injury shows Queta, who was playing for Portugal, batting for a rebound and falling to the ground. Then a player for the Russian team landed on him. It’s unclear whether the injury happened before or after the contact with the other player.
Queta was scheduled to undergo an MRI on Monday, per multiple reports. A USU spokesperson said the extent of his injury is not yet known.
