Logan • Utah State senior Jalen Moore was named Wednesday to the 2016-17 Julius Erving Award watch list.
The annual award, sponsored by the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, goes to the nation's top small forward. The watch list includes 20 players from throughout the country.
Moore has led Utah State in scoring and rebounding the past two seasons. He could become the third player in school history to lead the Aggies in both categories for three years. The others were Marvin Roberts (1969-71) and Greg Grant (1983-84, 1986).
Moore enters the upcoming season with 1,119 career points, which ranks 27th on Utah State's all-time.
