LOGAN — The Utah State football team's second scrimmage of the spring was quick and clean.
Scheduled to go 100 plays and last two hours, Friday afternoon's practice session at Maverik Stadium lasted just over an hour and around 70 total snaps.
But that wasn't a bad thing in the eyes of USU head coach Matt Wells inasmuch as some offensive possessions slated to go numerous plays resulted in quick scores, and a few scheduled drives were snuffed out early by big defensive plays.
“It was a very clean scrimmage with hardly any administrative penalties,” Wells noted.
