Utah State’s track and field team qualified 18 student-athletes to compete at the NCAA West Preliminary Championships, it was announced Thursday.
The Aggies will send 12 men and six women to compete in Austin, Texas, from May 25-27, at Mike A. Myers Stadium. The East Preliminaries are being held at the University of Kentucky Outdoor Track and Field Facility in Lexington, Kentucky.
Athletes who ranked among the top 48 nationally in their respective event earned berths to the NCAA Preliminary Championships. For each relay event, the top 24 declared relay teams also qualified for the East and West prelims.
