San Diego • Donnel Pumphrey rushed for 181 yards and two touchdowns, and San Diego State scored on six straight drives in the first half to cruise to a 48-14 victory over Utah State on Friday night.
Pumphrey had rushing touchdowns of 4 and 62 yards in the second quarter to help San Diego State build a 34-7 lead at halftime.
Chase Price added 97 yards on the ground and one touchdown for San Diego State (5-3, 4-0 Mountain West). The Aztecs have started league play with four straight wins for the first time since 1998.
