Utah State football player critically injured in weekend crash on I-15

Logan • Utah State freshman defensive end Brady Holt was critically injured over the weekend in a one-car crash on I-15 near Willard.

Holt, 21, is from Riverton.

According to the Utah Highway Patrol, Holt was injured Saturday at 12:45 p.m. when his northbound SUV drifted into the median and crashed into wooden spools at a construction site. Holt over-corrected and, when the SUV rolled, he was thrown from the vehicle.

Holt, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken to Ogden Regional Medical Center.

Investigators are trying to determine whether drowsy or inattentive driving may have been a factor.
