Utah State football: New Mexico holds off USU, 14-13

Albuquerque, N.M. • New Mexico quarterback Lamar Jordan threw an 86-yard touchdown pass and the Lobos held off Utah State in the fourth quarter on Saturday at University Stadium, 14-13.

Utah State trailed, 14-3, before quarterback Kent Myers' 24-yard touchdown pass to Aaron Rodriguez with 5:55 left in the third quarter.

After Devin Centers' interception set up an Aggie field goal that made it 14-13, Utah State was in position at least kick a field goal midway through the fourth quarter. But backup quarterback Damion Hobbs dropped a snap from center and failed to cover it at the Lobo 20.
