For the first time in nearly a month, the Utah State Aggies will play on a Saturday this week when they face the New Mexico Lobos in Albuquerque.
Matt Wells' club will surely be hoping for a similar result as the last time it played on the final day of the week, a 56-14 win over Fresno State. Standing in the way is a Lobos squad that is 4-4 overall and 2-2 in Mountain West play but boasts one of the most elite rushing attacks in all of college football.
The Deseret News caught up with Rick Wright, New Mexico football beat writer for the Albuquerque Journal, to discuss the Lobos' 4-4 record, their potent running attack, the good and bad of their defense and what concerns them about facing Utah State.
