CLOVIS, Calif. — Utah State's Brenn Flint thought to herself that defending her shot put title was a very important feat, especially during her senior season.
The native of Syracuse, Utah, did just that, as she cruised to a victory Friday on Day 3 of the Mountain West Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Veterans Memorial Stadium. Flint tossed a season-best 16.55 meters (54-3.75) to capture the gold medal.
"It feels so good to come out here and do what we've been doing all season," Flint said. "To be able to get a season best in the shot put was amazing.
