Utah State men’s basketball recognized four players with team awards on Tuesday night as voted upon by their teammates at the year-end team banquet.
Senior guard Chris Smith was named the team MVP after finishing second on the team in scoring, averaging 15.0 points per game. Smith was also strong on the boards, finishing third on the team with an average of 5.3 rebounds per contest. Smith was a large part of Utah State’s record-setting perimeter offense this season, leading the team behind the 3-point line with 63 treys and shooting 45.0 percent (63-of-140) to lead the Mountain West.
