Logan • UNLV freshman center Stephen Zimmerman was one of the mostly heavily recruited players in the country in 2015.
Zimmerman and the Rebels visited the Spectrum on Tuesday night.
One year ago, Zimmerman was sorting through scholarship offers from every big-time college basketball program in the country. He narrowed the field to Arizona, Kansas, Kentucky, UCLA and hometown UNLV.
"It really went down to the wire," Zimmerman told reporters after he signed. "I have a great relationship with the UNLV coaches and being home is a big plus."
Of course, one of the coaches who recruited Zimmerman is no longer at UNLV.
