Utah State basketball: Aggies fall to 17th-ranked Purdue in Cancun.

Cancun, Mexico • Utah State's season-opening three-game winning streak came to an abrupt end Tuesday night.

Isaac Haas scored 26 points and Dakota Mathias added 25 on 6-for-7 three-point shooting to lead 17th-ranked Purdue to an 85-64 victory over the Aggies at the Cancun Challenge.

Jalen Moore led Utah State with 16 points and Alexis Dargenten added 14, but the Aggies dropped to 3-1 on the season.

Utah State plays Texas Tech on Wednesday night before returning home for a game against BYU on Nov. 30 in Salt Lake City.

In its first-ever game against Purdue, Utah State grabbed a quick 2-0 lead when Moore took a lob pass from Koby McEwen and dunked.
