Logan • Senior Shane Rector scored 17 points and freshman Koby McEwen contributed 16 points, nine rebounds and six assists on Saturday night, when the Aggies cruised to a 85-51 victory over Idaho State.
Utah State used a 13-0 run midway through the first half to build a 32-18 lead. It was 40-27 at intermission before the Aggies opened the second half with eight straight points, including four by Rector.
Utah State senior Jalen Moore added 13 points and moved past his father, Jimmy, for 25th place on the school's all-time scoring list.
Utah State improved its record to 3-0 heading into games in Cancun, Mexico, next Tuesday and Wednesday against Purdue and either Texas Tech or Auburn.
