A Utah woman is in jail and accused of trying to smother and strangle her 2- and 4-year-old daughters.
According to police record filed with the Davis County jail, the 27-year-old Layton woman’s husband recorded her threatening to kill herself and their daughters on Saturday. He witnessed his wife “attempt to smother both girls with a pillow”; after he stopped her, the woman locked herself in a room with the girls and tried to strangle them, “causing visible injury to their necks.”
The woman's husband “was able to physically pry her hands from the first daughter's neck”; she then “grabbed the youngest daughter and began strangling her as well.
