Utah man who allegedly made threats against Trump ordered detained

U.S. Magistrate Judge Paul Warner found at the conclusion of a hearing that Travis Luke Dominguez, who pleaded not guilty to the 11 charges against him, poses a danger to the community and a risk of not appearing at future court hearings.

Defense attorney Benjamin McMurray had requested that Dominguez be released on the condition that he wear a GPS monitor and that his access to the internet and his phone be restricted.

He also said Dominguez might have undiagnosed mental health issues and could have suffered a traumatic brain injury. His client was hit in the face with a baseball bat when he was 7 and fell off a ladder and hit his head in 2016, according to McMurray.
