Utah man shot ‘several times’ by police after ‘altercation’

A man was shot several times by Weber County Sheriffs officers who were responding to a report of domestic violence/shots fired on Sunday night.

According to a department spokesman, Roy City Police responded to a reported domestic dispute between a man and woman at a home near 4300 South and 4300 West in West Haven about 11:45 p.m. on Sunday. By the time officers arrived, the man had walked away from the home.

Sheriffs officers located him near 4500 West and 4000 South shortly thereafter, “and there was a confrontation,” said Weber County Sheriff’s Lt. Matt Jensen.
