SALT LAKE CITY — Hot-shooting Utah pulled away in the second half for its fifth straight win, beating Stanford 96-74 at the Huntsman Center on Saturday afternoon.
Jakob Poeltl led five Utes in double-figures with 23 points while adding seven rebounds and two assists. Brandon Taylor added 15 points, seven rebounds and four assists, while Lorenzo Bonam had 14 points, six rebounds and five assists as Utah shot 59.6 percent from the field.
Its the third straight game Poeltl has scored 20 or more points, the first time the sophomore has done so in his Utah career.
