LOGAN — When you consider all the years and all the records associated with Utah State’s Chuckie Keeton, it’s hard to believe that next week’s Famous Idaho Potato Bowl will be only the second bowl game the senior quarterback plays in during his collegiate career.
Keeton was a freshman on the 2011 Aggie team that lost to Ohio 24-23 in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl. Although he was a starter the first half of the season, a neck injury kept Keeton off the field later in the year, leaving Adam Kennedy to run the offense in Boise.
Similarly, while Keeton was the starter at the beginning of the season, he was sidelined with knee injuries when Utah State won the Poinsettia Bowl in 2013 and the New Mexico Bowl in 2014.
