Utah State track and field continued a historic Friday, setting two records at the Cerritos College-hosted Mt. SAC relays.
Junior Colby Wilson outlasted a rigorous steeplechase competition, placing fifth with a school-record time of 8:40.73.
"Colby bounced back great after his race at the Stanford invite," distance coach Artie Gulden said. "Colby put himself in a great position, and ran a tough race."
Kashley Carter, a freshman, added another school record by breaking her own mark in the 5,000m with a 36th-place finish and a time of 16:23.29. Carter now has three school records, all of which were set in her first three collegiate races.
