Utah State’s gymnastics team was selected 30th in the Preseason Coaches’ Poll, as voted by the National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches, Women (NACGC/W).
The Aggies, who garnered 417 points in the poll, are one of three Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference teams ranked in the top 30. Boise State leads the contingent at No. 15, while Southern Utah comes in at No. 26.
“I’m glad to see that we’re in the top 36 of the rankings,” said fourth-year head coach Nadalie Walsh. “It’s nice to know that our colleagues mark us as an automatic qualifier for NCAA Regionals; everybody expects us to make it to [the] postseason, so that is definitely an improvement from over the last few years.
