Utah State’s gymnastics program opened its 2016 campaign with a dominating 194.375-184.225 victory against Centenary College on Friday night at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum.
“I wanted the team to come in and do what they practice, and I feel good about it,” third-year head coach Nadalie Walsh said. “They had some little mistakes here and there, but for the most part, we had really good composure.”
The Aggies (1-0, 0-0 Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference), who led after every rotation, won their third-consecutive season opener for the first time since the 1997-99 campaigns. Furthermore, Utah State’s team score of 194.
