Utah State quarterback Kent Myers has been named the Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week, it was announced Monday by the conference office.
It is the first career MW weekly accolade for the 6-foot-0, 195-pound sophomore from Rowlett, Texas. Overall, this is the Aggies’ 11th MW weekly accolade in their third season in the league. Utah State was honored four times in 2014 and five times in 2013.
Myers, who was also tabbed the America First Credit Union USU Student-Athlete of the Week, set a single-game rushing record for a quarterback at Utah State with 191 yards in the Aggies’ 33-18 Homecoming victory against Colorado State last Saturday night at Merlin Olsen Field at Maverik Stadium.
