SAN DIEGO — The Aggies choked down their own medicine in Friday night's loss as San Diego State ran them out of the stadium with a 48-14 win.
Last weekend, Utah State put up 35 points against Boise State in the first half. Roles reversed this weekend as the Aggies gave up 34 first half points to the Aztecs.
It was game-over from there.
The Aggies showed some life in the third quarter, outscoring the Aztecs 7-0 as Devante Mays punched in a 26-yard touchdown.
Responding in the final quarter, San Diego State snatched its points back with a rushing touchdown in the fourth to take a 41-14 lead with 8:47 to play.
