Carson Shanks' return to Utah State basketball program, which wouldn't have become official until he graduated from North Dakota and enrolled at USU, ended even quicker than his initial blink-and-you-missed-it stint with the program.
After announcing via social media earlier this offseason that he'd be returning to Logan, Shanks announced today that he'll transfer to Loyola University-Chicago and play in the Missouri Valley Conference instead. Loyola also posted a release announcing his addition to the program.
Shanks, a native of Prior Lake, Minn., originally joined the USU program in the 2013, but he transferred to the University of North Dakota after one semester.
