The University of Utah will present the findings from an investigation into its police department Wednesday morning, after a review that focused in part on how officers handled complaints of harassment and extortion reported by a student in the weeks before she was killed on campus.
U. President Ruth Watkins ordered the independent review after Lauren McCluskey, a track athlete, was shot to death outside her dorm in October by a man she had earlier told police was harassing her. The school received the investigating team’s report Monday and will speak about it for the first time Wednesday at 8:30 a.
