This year’s Tour of Utah will stretch 477 miles with nearly 38,000 feet in elevation gain

The Tour of Utah, the self-proclaimed “Toughest Stage Race” in America, isn’t getting any easier.

Race organizers on Wednesday unveiled the stages for the upcoming cycling road race, which will run from Aug. 12-18 at seven locations around the northern part of the state.

New territory will be covered on four days of racing, beginning with the mountain Prologue at Snowbird Resort that is perched at 8,000 feet above sea level. A few firsts also include circuits in North Logan City and North Salt Lake, and a challenging climb up and over the Olympic Parkway at Utah Olympic Park.
