Two months before going to the birthday party where Boise police say he stabbed nine people, a Utah judge sentenced 30-year-old Timmy Kinner to 18 months of probation.
Kinner on April 19 pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor count of theft in 5th District Court in St. George. The probation is supervised by court staff, according to a docket entry.
Court records give no indication Kinner was out of compliance on Saturday. That’s when, Boise police say, Kinner stabbed six children and three adults at a birthday party. The 3-year-old birthday girl is among the stabbing victims.
