Provo • Brock Hale hit a grand slam and Jackson Cluff had four hits, including a home run, and six runs batted in to power the No. 25 BYU baseball team to a 17-9 trouncing of San Francisco on Saturday on Senior Day at Larry H. Miller Field in the final home game of the season.
Mitch McIntyre and Casey Jacobsen also homered for BYU, which blew the game open by scoring five runs in the second inning — four coming on Hale’s slam, his team-leading ninth home run of the season — and six more in the third, with the big blows being a three-run homer by McIntyre and a three-run double off the bat of Cluff, who had two doubles and scored four runs on the day.
