LOGAN — Astronomy buffs are invited to view the autumn sky at the Utah State University Observatory from 8 to 10 p.m. Friday, weather permitting. Admission is free.
Located on the roof of USU’s Science Engineering Research building, the observatory houses a 20-inch reflecting telescope on a computerized mount that yields clear, crisp images of planets and deep space objects. The telescope is accessible only by stairs from the research building’s roof.
Additional public viewing nights are scheduled Friday, Nov. 4, and Friday, Dec. 2.
Parking for the event is available near the Caine Performance Hall, 1090 E.
