It’s back to school in Salt Lake County on Thursday, after a rare snow day was declared Wednesday in all five of the county’s school districts.
Salt Lake City, Canyons and Granite districts confirmed on their Twitter feeds that school was back in session; and FOX 13 reported that Jordan and Murray districts were open. So were Tooele and Park City schools, which also took Wednesday off after a massive snowstorm hit northern Utah on Wednesday morning.
Officials at the districts had difficulty remembering the last time they canceled classes because of the snow, though the consensus was that it has been at least 20 years.
