Saturday’s rivalry game at Utah is ‘most important game of the year,’ BYU coaches and players say

Provo • Utah is in the Pac-12 now and obviously has bigger fish to fry than BYU on the football field.

But, for the Cougars, Saturday’s showdown at Rice-Eccles Stadium remains the most important game of the year, coach Kalani Sitake said Monday in his weekly news conference at the Student Athlete Building.

The game kicks off at 8 p.m. and will be televised by Fox Sports 1.

“This will be a good time for us to play a complete game, and maybe our best game of the year,” Sitake said. “I think it is a really important game for us.
