Former Real Salt Lake defender Tony Beltran will start working as the assistant general manager for the club, owner Dell Loy Hansen announced Tuesday during an ESPN700 interview.
Hansen also announced that the organization has “identified” the people he wants to hire as head coach and general manager. He said the process should conclude in the first week of December.
Hansen added that an organizational announcement will come Wednesday, but did not specify what that will be.
Beltran has been with RSL for his entire career, and announced his retirement in September due to a chronic knee issue.
