The Daily Herald reported Monday that Provo will no longer relocate deer found wandering within city limits in the wake of state officials’ decision to no longer make that an option.
The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources announced last week it was stopping the relocation program because of the spread of diseases and the survival rates for relocated deer.
Provo has been participating in the urban deer program since 2017. In that time, the city has relocated nearly 90 deer.
