Probation ordered for two Utah State football players accused of burglarizing Logan apartments

Probation has been ordered for two Utah State University football players who admitted to taking part in a pair of Logan burglaries in 2016.

Troy Murray and Jay Brown both pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges of criminal trespassing and theft. They were accused of being involved in burglaries that took place in a Logan apartment complex, which included the theft of video game consoles and other electronic equipment.

Brown on Tuesday was sentenced in 1st District Court to 36 months probation, and 50 hours of community service. Judge Kevin Allen also ordered that he read a self-help book and write a 15-page report.
