U.S. marshals in Oregon have apprehended a man wanted for attempted murder in Kaysville.
Jay Dewayne Burrus, 24, had been on the run since an “altercation” on April 5 at a Kaysville trailer park. According to court documents, an argument over a woman escalated and Burrus fired several shots at a car and its occupants. Police found four bullet holes in the car; one round struck the driver’s side mirror, another went through the back window and then through a head rest in the back seat.
According to a news release from the U.S. Marshals Service, they learned that Burrus was in Portland.
