Albuquerque, N.M. • Jordan Love threw three touchdown passes to three different receivers and Gerold Bright ran for 113 yards and a score Saturday as Utah State beat New Mexico 38-25 in Lobos’ coach Bob Davie’s final game with the team.
Freshman quarterback Trae Hall, in his first career start, rushed for 115 yards and two scores and threw two touchdown passes for the Lobos.
Leading 7-0 after a quarter, the Aggies (7-5, 6-2 Mountain West) rolled to four touchdowns in the second quarter to hold a 31-6 lead at the break. Utah State took advantage of two fumble recoveries and an interception in the quarter to fuel its surge.
