LOGAN — A Utah man suspected of murdering his cousin in Maryland was a longtime Utah State University professor who planned to teach an adjunct course there this fall, a school spokesman confirmed Tuesday.
Baltimore County police believe John Robert Malko, 72, of Salt Lake City, killed his 91-year-old cousin, Nadia Evanowicz Schaible, in her Parkville, Maryland, home on July 12.
"(Malko) stated that he had been visiting Schaible and left the location," the agency said in a statement.
