At his monthly KUED news conference, Gov. Gary Herbert is expected to answer questions about Utah’s midterm election, which saw the passage of a medical marijuana initiative. The governor plans to call a special legislative session in early December to revise that initiative with a deal struck by lawmakers, some of the initiative’s supporters and The Church or Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He’ll also likely get questions about the state’s incredibly tight 4th District race between Rep. Mia Love and Salt Lake County Mayor Ben McAdams. With thousands of votes still to count, McAdams, the Democrat, holds a 873 vote lead.
