State officials are imploring us to run appliances with full loads and reduce our showering times, yet there is no mention of controlling the rampant development of apartment housing, which rapidly concentrates and compounds the use of water per acre.
The developer/legislator cabal is not really interested in requiring the development urge to fit within the existing limits of our desert environment. I wonder what the motivation could possibly be for this failure of conscientious planning.
Until they wake up to the fact that it is impossible to expand our society beyond these limited resources, I guess our dishes will get dirtier and perfume and deodorant sales will go through the roof.
