I read this article with a measure of sadness and concern. I understand that actions must be taken to keep this marvelous newspaper afloat. However, I am concerned that The Tribune will need to rely too heavily on community donors.
As our community is dominated by one major religion with deep pockets, I worry that this marvelous "community asset" would be too beholden to its major contributors, which are likely to be quite conservative. The content will likely move far to the right.
The state of Utah almost desperately needs the more liberal views offered by The Tribune.
