Letter: After fiasco with disabled Scout, the Boy Scouts must make amends

Related Topics: Scouting, Disability

Someone with authority approved all of these merit badges for Logan Blythe, and then they have the audacity to remove them, through the fault of their own organization because of lack of training by their leaders.

Logan, facing Down syndrome, is someone who tried to emulate the spirit of scouting, and for the Boy Scouts to send this message that the disabled are not welcome I hope radiates in every news organization throughout the United States.

The Great Salt Lake Council is at fault for leading him on, and for the national organization to crush his achievement is unfathomable.
