Kyle Whittingham endorses Utah’s consistency, and says holding onto every player (think QB Jack Tuttle) is ‘unrealistic'

Utah football coach Kyle Whittingham has experienced multiple seasons when his team was in position to win a Pac-12 South title, only to fade in November.

With the new variable of having a nonconference opponent (BYU) in November, the Utes already are down to their last four Pac-12 games. They can assure themselves of a South championship by winning those four contests, beginning Friday night at UCLA.

Asked during his weekly news conference Monday what he has learned about maintaining a high level of play, Whittingham said, “Staying even-keeled, avoid being too high or too low, just being consistent in your approach.
