Here’s how to get a passport at the Salt Lake City Public Library

Salt Lake City’s downtown library is the newest place in town where people can apply for a passport — and it has later hours than any of the three other locations.

The main library, 210 E. 400 South, will accept passport applications Monday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and will take applications on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m., according to a news release.

It is the only facility routinely open for passports applications past 4 p.m. on weekdays.

To apply for a passport, a person needs an application; proof of identity, such as a driver license; proof of citizenship, such as a birth certificate; and a recent 2-inch by 2-inch photo.
