Guest commentary: Utah State learns more about itself during first spring football scrimmage

LOGAN — Spring practice is all about learning, and on Saturday, Utah State learned more about who would lead their team and who could be impact players who may not have gotten the attention that they want in the past.

On Saturday, the Aggies football team held a public scrimmage at Maverik Stadium in Logan. The scrimmage was two hours long and consisted of 100 snaps under center. Throughout the scrimmage, the coaching staff played almost every player on both offense and defense in order to give themselves looks at who can do what and try to get their starters in order before the first game in September.
