LOGAN, Utah -- A former Utah State University football player will spend 12 days in jail before transferring schools after he pleaded guilty to stealing a PlayStation.
Troy Murray was sentenced Monday after agreeing to a plea deal, the Herald Journal of Logan, Utah, reported. He and teammate Jaylan Brown were charged this spring after police said they pawned the PlayStation, games and accessories in the Salt Lake area.
The two redshirt freshmen, both 19, were also suspended from the team.
Murray pleaded guilty in May to reduced theft and trespassing charges. He will transfer to Snow College in central Utah, the newspaper reported.
