Provo • BYU is replacing one former quarterback with another for its football radio broadcasts on the BYU Sports Network.
The school announced Tuesday that Riley Nelson will replace Marc Lyons, who retired at the end of the 2018 season after a 38-year career in the booth.
“I am extremely excited about the opportunity to be a part of game day against at BYU,” Nelson said in a school news release. “My days as a player for the Cougars were some of the most memorable times of my life, and I look forward to reconnecting with the program and the BYU fan base as we share more unforgettable days together on the radio.
